I wrote a Darcy/Wickham song!!! (I love writing slash songs - don't know why). It's from Darcy's POV (but it can be read from Wickham's as well). I hope you like it.

Title: Truth Discovered
Fandom: Pride and Prejudice
Pairing: Darcy/Wickham
Rating: Pg
Length: 371
Summary: After reading P & P for what was like the 10th time (even though I love the book) my slash brain refused to cooperate and I started to question the whole Darcy/Wickham relationship - and this is the result. It's really just a short bit of prose.

I have lied to so many in the past, concealed things to the point where I, myself, have forgotten that they have even existed.

Hi all, I don't know if there is another Jane Austen slash community out there, this is the only one I could find so far...

I am writing a P&P Darcy/Wickham (sorta incestuous in this story) (oh là là~ *rolls eyes) + Darcy/Bingley fic that is untitled as yet, and thought I would share the first parts with you. Hope you like!

(It's unbeta'd, but I did do a spell-check, for what it's worth. Any chronological, stylistic, factual, orthographical or any other errors are entirely mine. And deepest condolences to Jane Austen from whom I shamelessly drew inspiration.)

Untitled Pride & Prejudice fic

PART I

Even in his earliest recollections, George Wickham had always been there. His father had always favoured his steward's son and no event went by, no occasion passed without George Wickham in attendance. A fine companion for my only son and heir, announced Mr Darcy to his sister-in-law and to anyone who cared to listen, and ordered for him to be raised with his own son. In truth, it was clear to all who worked at Pemberley that the master preferred the bright and charming steward's son to his own. Many were the reasons for this inexplicable favour that were whispered below stairs in hushed tones, but the majority favoured the following reasoning, which appealed to both the common-sense of the menservants and the fancy of the chambermaids: the sight of young master Fitzwilliam, dark-haired, serious and silent – so like his mother, the poor, late Mrs Darcy, who had been a great beauty and had died not a sennight after the boy's birth – drew forth painful memories that he would rather chuse to forget. Even with these fervent rumours and conjecture surrounding him, it was not until his twelfth birthday that Fitzwilliam realised the true nature of his father's preference for this boy two years his senior:

Evening my good people.

I am suffering an amazing bout of writers block. It's intense. Once I have a topic to write about I am fine, free and easy. However, My stumbling block is trying to get something started. Would any of you lovelies reccomend something you would like to read, and I will endeavour to do my best to write it.

:)

I thought I would pop in and introduce myself.

My name is Vertizart, and I'm a freelance artist and writer. I'm an Austen fan from way back, and while I love Lizzie/Darcy, the potential is huge, not to mention Colonel Brandon. I thought he was great in the books and then I saw the film adaptation. Rickman!Brandon makes the world go round. I read in an earlier post about a request for Brandon/Snape. I am currently working on such a piece if the interest is still there.

Hopefully this community can breathe some life. Feel free to add me to your friends list, I'll friend you back and the joy will commence!

(I'm relatively new to the LiveJournal thing, so if I commit a horrendous faux-pas I'm dreadfully sorry!)

Cheers to the Austen Slash! How I love her brooding heroes...

I passed off maintainer status to romulan_warbird. I am sure she'll do a good job, considering this place has been inactive. All the same, I was glad to have made it, and I hope one day Austen slash will become more popular. Cheers!
